What position are you running for:   Board of Education

Which of the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Campus proposal sessions did you attend?

Did not attend any presentations in person but I have watched the videos online.

Why do you support (or not support) the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Campus proposal?

As a candidate running for office, I do not have access to all of the information that is available to our elected officials; therefore, it would be premature for me to provide a detailed response at this time. However, if I’m elected, I commit to listening to the community’s ideas and concerns. I believe that is one of the key responsibilities of an elected official.

If you are in favor of the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Campus proposal, in what ways do you plan to support the project? Please be as specific as possible.

See answer to question above.

What changes or additions would you like to see made to the proposal?

See answer to question above.

What does the Cleveland Heights slogan “Home of the Arts” mean to you?

One of the reasons my family loves living in the Heights is because our community supports the arts and our public schools offer strong programming in the arts.

Have you or your family ever taken part in any events, classes or programs offered by the organizations located at Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Campus (either on site, or through their partnerships with our School District or Library system, etc.)? Please be as specific as possible.

Yes, my son attended after school programs at Lake Erie Ink for approximately two years when he attended Boulevard Elementary. In addition, when I was a Kindernet Representative for Gearity Elementary, I worked closely with Family Connections to provide outreach to young families and families new to our area.

Are there any other thoughts and/or ideas you’d like to share with our audience?

As stated in my campaign materials, one of the items in My Plan for the Future is to collaborate with the city governments of Cleveland Heights, University Heights and South Euclid as well as various agencies to:

  • Attract Millennials to our cities so our communities grow and become stronger
  • Provide programs for the safety and well-being of our students
  • Bring our schools into our community and our community into our schools so tax-payers benefit from our public assets
