The organizations that call Coventry School home, along with members of the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. park have worked collaboratively to develop a business plan that addresses the redevelopment of the Coventry site in a way that brings value to our community and addresses the concerns of all those involved. The plan includes:
- A definitive strategy to transfer the property from both the school district and the city in an accelerated time period.
- Our proposal will avoid the uncertain outcome of an RFQ process that will likely take 8 months to identify a potential developer and a similar amount of time to possibly formulate a “deal” that would provide for the transfer of the property from the school district to the city and city to a developer.
- Our proposal initiates appropriately scaled and readily marketable residential development that will generate revenue to improve the Arts Building infrastructure and park.
- The community has clearly and emphatically stated their support of the Peace Campus vision as it retains and improves a minimum 2 acre park, retains the tenants, and provides the associated parking and green space so highly valued by the Coventry Library and SID.
